EIC ACCESS+ awarded EUR 841 000 to 46 European Deep-Tech Companies

Brussels, 31 July 2025 – The EIC ACCESS+ project announces the mid-project numbers, aiming to accelerate the growth of European deep-tech innovation. To date, 46 EIC Awardees and Seal of Excellence holders have received financial support through the EIC ACCESS+ Open Call, with more than EUR 841 000 in co-funding awarded.

An initiative of the EIC Business Acceleration Services (BAS), EIC ACCESS+ offers financial assistance to deep-tech startups and SMEs, enabling them to access specialised services from the EIC Service Catalogue, including business acceleration, fundraising, internationalisation, research support, and more.

The strong interest from the EIC Community underlines the project’s role in bridging critical gaps in scale-up support for Europe’s most innovative companies. A few success stories from the project’s beneficiaries have already been shared during the latest EIC ACCESS+ Info sessions, available for replay on the EIC Community YouTube channel.

“This uptake demonstrates the need for flexible, targeted support,” said Antonio Zangrilli, Coordinator of the EIC ACCESS+ consortium. “The funding has helped recipients tackle key challenges for their companies across industries.”

How It Works

The ACCESS+ Open Call remains open until 31 May 2026, offering up to EUR 60 000 per beneficiary and covering 50% of the cost of services selected from the EIC Service Catalogue. Four distinct service packages are available:

• Research & Development (up to EUR 60 000)
• Business Acceleration (up to EUR 30 000)
• Skills Development (up to EUR 10 000)
• Access to Funds (up to EUR 30 000)

Companies can mix and match services according to their needs, up to the total funding cap.

Eligibility

The call is open to:

• EIC Awardees (Pathfinder, Transition, Accelerator)
• Seal of Excellence holders under Horizon Europe
• Spin-off companies (from EIC Awardees)

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis. Early application is encouraged.
